About Us

If you are a new member or are interested in local financial institutions, we want you to know what we have to offer. We are a "People Helping People" CO-OP.

History

The Credit Union was chartered on February 2, 1966, as the J-O-S Schools Federal Credit Union (Julesburg-Ovid-Sedgwick). The name was changed to Sedgwick County Federal Credit Union on 10-11-67 when it became community chartered. When people from Nebraska asked to join, the charter was expanded to include Deuel County in Nebraska. Again, the name changed, on 7-10-84, the name CO-NE Federal Credit Union was adopted to reflect the states of Colorado (CO) and Nebraska (NE).

Structure

CO-NE is a member of the Colorado Credit Union League. Financial transactions are processed through ALLOYA, a Corporate Credit Union.

Dividends

Paid quarterly on Passbook and IRA Accounts, monthly on Share Certificate Accounts.

How To Join

Residents of Sedgwick and Deuel County may join by depositing at least $50.00 into a Passbook Account. Any member's family and relatives are eligible to join regardless of where they live.

Member Operated

All credit union boards and Committees are made up of credit union members. The Board of Directors is elected by and from the membership of the Credit Union. The Board sets the Credit Union's policies of operation.

The Supervisory Committee, appointed by the Board, monitors compliance with the rules and regulations of the NCUA and our in-house policies. The Loan Officers, also appointed by the Board, review all loan applications. Whether appointed or elected, all positions are held by volunteer Credit Union members. We truly mean what we say, "MEMBER OWNED- MEMBER OPERATED"
